ABOUT: Spectrum Appraisals;  located near Milford, PA is a small state of the art mobile appraising and valuation business servicing the greater Tri-state (NJ, NY, PA) region. With over twenty five (25) years of experience, I am geared to meet and satisfy the needs of clients needing to have their personal property appraised for Insurance Replacement, Estate Distribution, Re-selling, Liquidation, or Donation.  

FUNCTION: I specialize in antique and period jewelry from Georgian, Victorian, Art Deco, Edwardian, and Retro, to Postmodern and Contemporary. I regularly generate jewelry valuation reports for Private Clients, Insurance Companies, Estate Administrators, Probate and Divorce Attorneys, Auction Houses, in the context of primary and secondary markets.  

SERVICES: While specializing in Estate Appraisals and Valuations; I offer a multitude of services that go beyond the scope of simple jewelry appraisals, Identification, and grading of gems for insurance or fair market value.

By traveling to your location, I can perform appraisal fieldwork on site; with the client, executor, or administrator present; without them having to release possession of their valuables. I also offer the flexibility to appraise items outside normal working business hours. 

I Identify, Grade, Valuate, and Appraise: Diamonds, Gold, Platinum, and Colored Stone Jewelry; Natural and Raw Crystals; Mineral Specimens; Gem and LapidaryArt. Additionally, I Appraise and both Foreign and Domestic Numismatic Collections, Coinage and Currency. 

REPORTS: I offer a wide variety of USPAP compliant documentation and reports at varying prices to meet the wide range of needs for my clients. 

Below lists the types of reports and services offered. 

    * Consultation and Education: I advise the client who wishes to buy or sell jewelry or other items; and to assist in making informed selling or purchasing decisions.

    * Valuations: I offer comprehensive and narrative retail, fair market value, and liquidation appraisal reports as well as inventory listings for IRS taxation and equitable distribution.

*Identification and Grading: I offer gemstone Identification and diamond  grading services.

*Certifications: I offer certificates of origin and authenticity when appropriate.

PRICING: Small quantities of items are priced by the piece. For larger projects and collections, I charge on a "by the hour" sliding scale system. Therefore, the more items there are to appraise the more cost effective the project becomes. 

I NEVER base my fees on the projected value of any appraised items. For large collections and inventory, fees are based on an initial consultation to assess the total amount of working hours needed to complete a project. Litigation circumstances are billed hourly.

Client interaction is discreet and professional. My descriptions and grades of gems, diamonds, and jewelry are widely accepted in the Industry and strictly follow the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Grading structure.
