With over twenty years of professional practice Christian Richart is an experienced Gemologist and Appraiser specializing in jewelry appraisals regarding estate preparation and personal property distribution.
Mr. Richart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a minor in Fine Arts from the University of Missouri. He also holds a Graduate Gemologist (GG); diploma; from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and is a Graduate Diamonds diploma holder from the International Gemological Institute (IGI).
After a four year personal apprenticeship in appraisal theory and valuation from Anna M. Miller; Master Gemologist Appraiser, and former Senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA); Mr. Richart earned his designation as a Registered Master Valuer (RMV) from what is now the California Institute of Jewelry Training. He is a long-standing member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) and conforms to the Uniform standards of professional appraisal practice (USPAP).
Aside from performing independent appraisals, Mr. Richart’s experience has included a curatorial position with the Colburn Gem and Mineral Museum; in Asheville, NC; and as a Senior Appraiser for several AGS certified gemological laboratories.
